ITD
captures AAMVA regional awards
Winning
awards isnt just about hanging plaques on the office wall. For
some, the intangible rewards are the best part of winning: bragging
rights among peers, showcasing creative genius, creating leverage to
increase funding and international recognition.
ITD staff can claim those intangibles as recipients of American Association
of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) regional awards. Idaho is among
21 western states and Canadian provinces included in AAMVAs Region
IV.
We already know that our staff produces top-notch work
but to gain the recognition from our AAMVA counterparts around the west
is just icing on the cake, said Morris Detmar, DMV Administrator.
Idaho garnered four Public Affairs and Consumer Education (PACE) awards
in recognition of creativity, cost effectiveness and the ability to
reach customers through public affairs and consumer education work.
The categories in which Idaho will receive an AAMVA PACE award are:
-
Displays/Exhibits/Presentations: Western Idaho State
Fair DMV Booth
-
Special Purpose/Annual Report:Transforming Transportation
-
Externally produced brochure:Frequently Asked
Questions: Speed Limits
-
All entries are judged at AAMVA headquarters by a panel of public relations
and communications practitioners from outside the AAMVA community. Each
entry is judged on how well it meets its objective, creativity and quality
of production. All of ITDs entries scored high enough to qualify
for competition for the AAMVA International Award.
