ITD showcases technology at Capitol Each year the Information Technology Resource Management Council of Idaho (ITRMC) sponsors a Digital Government Day at the Idaho Capitol. State departments and agencies demonstrate recently implemented technology solutions for Legislators and other statehouse visitors. ITD had prominent part in this year’s Digital Government day on Feb. 8, putting several new technologies on display. ITD’s presence has increased steadily the past five years, and this was its largest, most impressive display of technology. ITD staff members were on hand all day in the rotunda,
demonstrating applications and hardware and answering questions for
Legislators, other state employees and the public.
The event was very successful and well received. The Public Affairs staff expressed its appreciation to the many volunteers who participated in the department’s Digital Government presentations:
Butch Ragsdale and John Krause from Public Transportation were on hand to observe in anticipation of presenting some of the division’s new online systems in the future. Tim Gawron and Eric Weaver of Corporate IT played a significant part in ITD’s success this year by assembling all of the hardware and ensuring that it functioned well during the demonstrations.
