Tolman accepts position with Department of Labor

Dave Tolman, administrator of ITD’s Division of Administration, announced last week that he has accepted a similar position with the Idaho Department of Labor. His last scheduled day at ITD will be May 16.

Tolman brought more than a decade of experience with the state of Idaho to the transportation department when arrived in 2001. He began his public career at the State Controller’s Office in 1990, and about five years later accepted a position with the Division of Financial Management.

While at ITD he served as the department’s controller for nearly six years. He he was chosen administrator of the Division of Administration in August of 2007. The division has about 156 positions but also is financially responsible for an additional 40 positions that report directly to the director.

Tolman holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah (1988) and a master’s in Business Administration from Boise State University (1996).
