State-of-the-state address planned Monday afternoon Idaho lawmakers will officially launch the 2011 Legislative session at noon (MST) Monday, followed about an hour later by Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter’s annual State of the State/Budget address.
After winning re-election in November, the governor was sworn into office again during a private ceremony Monday (Jan. 3). The oath of office was administered publicly today (Jan. 7). ITD Director Brian Ness and other department representatives will meet with the House and Senate transportation committees (germane) Jan. 20, tentatively at 1:30 p.m. The Joint Appropriations and Finance Committee (JFAC) will hear the formal presentation of ITD’s FY 2012 budget request on Feb. 8, beginning at 9:30 a.m. JFAC’s budget-setting process will begin Feb. 21 and should be completed by March 11.
